We founded the Brooks Powers Group to respond to a fragmented system in which relevant information is at times lost or never communicated among schools, parents, hospitals, and other agencies. This system sometimes leaves children and adolescents without critical follow-up services or their parents in the position of trying to explain to one agency what they thought they heard at another. One common result of these breakdowns in communication is that schools and other agencies have insufficient information with which to develop the right program to meet a student’s academic and psychological needs. In our experience, we have found that people and programs are most successful when the skills and knowledge of doctors, therapists, parents, and school staff are coordinated to achieve a common goal.
By performing a range of services in-house and specializing in case management, we ensure the whole of our services far exceeds the sum of the individual parts.
